On here, the lack of a complex algorithm that presents you with the subset that owners reckon will be most addictive means I end up scrolling through a lot of things without ever feeling like “ok, I’ve seen today’s most important things”.

This is good. I see this as an opportunity to cultivate the Joy of Missing Out (JOMO), and a more active practice in shaping our digital garden however we see fit.

@stragu I’m loving the randomness of today’s gifts. Community as algorithm is a whole lot of “hey stranger, check out this interesting thing” and the value comes from the interesting strangers, not the sticky addictive content.
